“When Gifts Cease”
1 Corinthians 13:9-13
Point 1: Love is everlasting.
Point 2: The sign gifts have ceased.
Definition: Cessationism is the belief that the sign gifts of the apostolic age – visible miracles including speaking in tongues, prophecy, and spontaneous healings – ceased at some point in early church history, most likely coinciding with the death of the Apostles, and are no longer normative in the life of the church.
