“The Beast Pt. 3”
Revelation 13:1-18; 16:12-16; 19-11-21
What the Bible tells us about the prophetic figure known as the Anti-Christ:
1. He goes by many names (2 Thess 2:1-4).
2. God is restraining his arrival (2 Thess 2:5-6).
3. Following the rapture, the restraints will be removed (2 Thess 2:7).
4. He will arise out of the remnants of Rome (Dan 2:31-33; 9:26).
5. He will present himself as a peacemaker (Dan 9:27).
6. He will be killed and rise from the dead (Rev 13:3-4).
7. He will declare himself to be God (2 Thess 2:4).
8. He will be empowered by Satan (Rev 13:1-2).
9. He will empower a false prophet who starts a false religion in his name (Rev 13:11-15).
10. He will enforce a mandatory mark of loyalty and devotion (Rev 13:16-17).
11. He will have a number: 666 (Rev 13:18).
12. He will persecute Israel (Dan 12:1; Zech 13:8-9; Matt 24:21-22).
13. He will gather an army to make war with Christ (Rev 16:12-16).
14. He will be utterly defeated when Christ returns (Rev 19:11-21)
15. He and the false prophet will be thrown alive into the Lake of Fire (Rev 19:20-21).
