Q & A #9
Q1: In Luke 23:6-12, Pontius Pilate sends Jesus to Herod to be judged. Verse 12 says, “That same day Herod and Pilate because friends, even though they had been enemies before this.” Why did Herod and Pilate become friends after Jesus’ death, and why did Luke record this?
Q2: I have friends and loved ones who are not believers. If they die without Christ, I know they don’t have the hope of Heaven. How can I possibly be happy in Heaven if I know these people I love are suffering in Hell?
Q3: Hebrews 10:26 says, “For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries.” Does this verse mean that if I willfully sin after becoming a Christian, Jesus won’t forgive me?
