Judges 11:29-40; 2 Timothy 2:12
Q1: Judges 11 tells a disturbing story of how Jephthah made a foolish vow that resulted in the sacrifice of his daughter. What is the significance of this story? Why would God insist on someone fulfilling a vow that would result in the murder of an innocent woman?
Q2: MCC insists that all baptisms be performed by immersion in water, despite other Christian traditions practicing sprinkling or pouring. Why do you feel immersion is so essential to the practice of baptism?
Q3: 2 Tim 2:12 says, “If we endure, we will also reign with him…” Since Jesus is God and, therefore, totally omnipotent, why would he need mere humans to reign over his Kingdom with him?
