Point 1:   God is the Author of Our Identity.

Point 2:   God keeps His Covenants.

• The Abrahamic Covenant: God’s promise to Abraham that he would be given an ancestral home for his people, that his descendants would be more numerous than the stars, and that through his lineage the Messiah would come to bless the world (Gen 12:2-3; 13:16; 17:4-5).
• The Mosaic Covenant: God’s revelation of his moral law to Israel, his promise to bless obedience and punish disobedience, and his promise to make Israel a kingdom of priests and a holy nation (Ex 31:18; Deut 28:1-6; 15-19).
• The Land Covenant: God’s promise that even if Israel is scattered to the ends of the earth because of their disobedience, he would bring them back to the land he promised to Abraham by his grace (Deut 30:1-10).
• The Davidic Covenant: God’s develops the promise of the Messiah by swearing that King David would have a divine descendant who would eternally rule over Israel as King (2 Sam 7:8-16).
