A Conversion at Calvary

Luke 23:39-43

Point 1:  The impenitent criminal demonstrates mankind’s sinful heart.

1.  He hates God even with his dying breath.
2.  He demands to be saved but refuses to repent.

Point 2:  The penitent criminal demonstrates saving faith.

1.  A sovereign miracle happens in his heart.
2.  He recognizes his guilt before God.
3.  He is filled with a holy fear.
4.  He recognizes Jesus’ righteousness.
5.  He calls out to the Savior for salvation.
6.  In response to faith, he is promised paradise.
