“Moving Forward in Faith ”
Psalm 62:5-8; Romans 12:12; Hebrews 10:24-25; Proverbs 3:13-14; Philippians 2:3-4
Five guidelines for Christians during times of social unrest:
Ps 62:5-8 – “For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.”
Rom 12:12 – “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”
Heb 10:24-25 – “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
Prov 3:13-14 – “Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold.”
Phil 2:3-4 – “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
